GIMME A NISSAN GT-R
Posted by Fast Lap, Doha: I reckon the Nissan GT-R is the most underrated car on the road. Everyone loved it when it first came out, it was the talk of the industry and punters. But the so-called awards always seemed to go elsewhere. Yet everywhere there’s a GT-R you’ll find people taking photos with their mobiles. The exterior is in-ya-face and the exhaust note rally threatening. And what about the power with the 480-hp, twin-turbo V-6 driving on four wheels. It’s a supercar that isn’t super-expensive. Get with it you guys.

WHO’S NEXT TO GO FROM F1?
Posted by John Mallon, UAE: When Honda split from Formula One we wondered who would be next. We got our answer when BMW said they wouldn’t be there in 2010. While F1 is not part of its agenda it says racing did help with loads of technological innovations. I thought Toyota would be next to jump but they say they’re staying. Things happen in threes though, so I’ll say Renault.

Gift Rapt
Belting the Blue Oval’s superstar truck for the first time in the Gulf – you read it here first

Lock and load. I’ve got hold of the Ford Raptor which is as menacing as Mike Tyson and as enticing as Claudia Schiffer.

I got out of the Raptor after taking part in the last testing in the UAE desert before what may turn out to be the best truck ever made gets the green light and washed down for production and the Gulf showrooms. I told anyone who’d listen, “It’s like gliding through the dunes in a Bentley.”

It’s unlikely anyone from either brand will take exception to the comparison.

But first we interrupt this review to bring you a DVD.
